The Nevada Department of Agriculture has proposed an amendment to Chapter 586 of the Nevada Administrative Code to increase the states annual pesticide registration fee to $281 per product. This is an almost 225% increase over the current fee of $125 per product. The Nevada Department of Agriculture has conducted an evaluation of its budget and registration fee and found that this fee increase is necessary for long-term solvency in the program. If enacted this will be the first pesticide registration fee increase in Nevada since 2013.

This change will also double the amount of money set aside for monitoring and disposing of pesticides, ground and surface water protection, and noxious weed control from $40 per product to $80.

We will continue monitoring state fee increases and provide updates of likely changes. Contact your SRC consultant with any questions about your state registrations and for help with registration fee budgeting.
