Are you unsure if your product meets all seven different state laws for Do Not Flush labeling on wipes? The SRC team can help with a Disposable Wipes “Do Not Flush” Compliance Label Review!
Seven states (California, Colorado, Illinois, Oregon, Michigan, New Jersey and Washington) have already enacted disposable wipes legislation. In absence of federal legislation, the number of states working to pass complicated Disposable Wipes legislation continues to grow. Variations between state laws add to this complexity. Each law requires unique sizing and location of your “Do Not Flush” graphic based on the size and type of your wipes’ container, which can make it difficult to ensure you are compliant in all states.
We continuously monitor “Do Not Flush” laws, ensuring our label reviews adhere to the most current legislative requirements. These laws cover a broad range of pre-moistened, nonwoven disposable wipes, including, but not limited to:
- Cosmetic or Personal Care Wipes Regulated under the Federal Food, Drug, & Cosmetic Act (FFD&CA)
- Baby Wipes or Diapering Wipes
- Facial Wipes
- Makeup Remover Wipes
- Feminine Hygiene Wipes
- Adult Incontinence Wipes
- Body Cleansing Wipes
- Antibacterial Wipes or Hand Sanitizing Wipes Regulated under the FFD&CA
- Antimicrobial Wipes Regulated under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) (for household and/or professional use)
- Surface Disinfecting Wipes
- Surface Sanitizing Wipes
- Non-Hazardous Surface Cleaning Wipes
- Hazardous Surface Cleaning Wipes Regulated under the Federal Hazardous Substances Act (FHSA) or the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard (OSHA HCS)
SRC can ensure your wipes container is compliant with legislation in all states to avoid costly relabeling fees down the road.
Let us help you flush away the uncertainties and embrace a compliant future. Reach out today to schedule your review!
