As the end of the year approaches, it is time to prepare for EPA Pesticide Registration Maintenance Fees. The fee varies from year to year depending on the authorizing legislation. EPA has set the 2026 fee to $4,875 per product, which has not increased from 2025. The 2026 fee tables and forms are now available with a January 15, 2026 deadline to file. Maintenance fees must be paid in full and on time for all active EPA registrations to prevent cancellation. EPA will not be following up if there is non-payment.
What can I do now to prepare?
- Review your current list of EPA registrations and decide if there are any you plan to voluntarily cancel.
- Make those arranging the pre-payment aware and ensure payment can be made at least one week prior to the deadline.
- If you plan to pursue a Small Business Waiver, please notify SRC to assist with the appropriate paperwork.
