Illinois Fee Increase

The Illinois Department of Agriculture (IDOA) recently announced updated registration fees for pesticide products and companies operating in the state. These changes impact both new registrations and renewals under the Illinois Pesticide Act. SRC became aware of the fee increase when Illinois notified registrants of incorrect fees on 2026-2027 renewal applications.

The IDOA will NOT mail corrected forms and is instead directing registrants to the corrected form on its website . If you have already submitted your product renewal form with the incorrect fees, the IDOA is requesting you contact agr.pesticide@illinois.gov for assistance.

Below are the new fee schedules for Illinois pesticide registration renewals which are due December 31st, 2025.

  • Company/Business Registration Fee: $1,050 for a two-year period.
  • Product Registration Fee: $850 per product for a two-year period.
  • Late Fee: $100 for each company or product registration submitted after the December 31 renewal deadline.

SRC has already begun using the new form, so no follow up is needed for SRC State Registration clients.

New Mexico Fee Increase

The New Mexico Department of Agriculture has also recently approved a $50 increase to the annual New Mexico Pesticide product registration fee, raising the state’s fees from $100 per product annually to $150. This increase went into effect on October 8th and will be assessed for product registration renewals due December 31st, 2025.

SRC has already adjusted our budgeting and processes to incorporate these fee increases, so no action is needed for SRC State Registration clients. If you would like assistance with processing your product renewals, please contact an SRC team member for a free quote.
