1996
The Beginning
While working together at an antimicrobial manufacturer/registrant of drugs and biocides, two women found themselves downsized due to a merger/acquisition which was the impetus for a fresh start. In 1996, Sally Hayes and Rhonda Jones brought together their unique expertise in microbiology, chemistry, and toxicology as well as their collaborative experience with government entities to form Scientific & Regulatory Consultants, Inc (SRC). SRC addressed a need in the antimicrobial and pesticide market to provide scientifically based solutions to challenges facing the industry.
1997
SRC Files First Regulatory Submission
After months of working to incorporate SRC and start their own business, Rhonda and Sally filed SRC’s first EPA regulatory submission via mail. SRC earned its first dollar, which still hangs in our office to this day!
2001
Scientific & Regulatory Consultants, Inc. Scholarship Fund Is Created
Rhonda and Sally founded SRC with family and community as core values. In 2001, they were able to achieve their first dream, as SRC created an endowment fund to support local students seeking STEM educations. To date, this scholarship has assisted over 70 students with their college education.
2013
Rhonda Jones Becomes the Sole Owner of SRC
After 17 years of success, Sally Hayes retired from SRC to spend time with her beloved dog and family. Rhonda continued to lead the SRC team to accomplish great wins and achievements for our clients. Over the next 8 years, the SRC team more than doubled its clientele and grew the team from 10 to 22 consultants.
2021
Rhonda Passes on Her Legacy
During the celebration of SRC’s 25th Anniversary, SRC cemented its family-first culture and achieved one of Rhonda’s dreams by becoming a true family business. SRC’s CFO and Rhonda’s daughter Cassie (Jones) Bumbaugh purchased the company in 2021. Rhonda continues to serve as SRC’s CEO and the mother-daughter team enjoy running the company together to this day.
