California Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) has released a new Notice to Stakeholders regarding adding multilingual translations to marketing labels in their state.

To be consistent with U.S. EPA’s bilingual labeling requirements under PRIA 5, the addition or revision of multilingual translations to marketing labels no longer need to be submitted to California if the correlating English text has already been approved at DPR. Furthermore, if a registrant updates English labeling elements that are allowed through DPR’s notification or non-notification process, any correlating translations may also be updated without notification to DPR. This is an exciting efficiency in bilingual labeling compliance!
